Clint Dempsey once said, "Success is no accident. It's hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all love of what you are doing or learning to do." Right now I have chosen to push myself to excel in the sport I love. I am not the type of athlete who makes a mistake and gives up, I'm the type to correct it and not let it happen again. Through studying the game of soccer, I have gained the ability to read passes in advance and make sure I know how I am going to stop them. I have sacrificed free time in order to quicken not only my hands but also my feet. I show leadership both on and off the field by vocalizing what my field players can't see. What makes me unique both on and off the field, in a classroom, and with my peers is I stand up for what I believe in and I put forth effort in every aspect of my life, in essence I care. While I am not sure of my future, I know that I am ready to move on to the next level of my soccer career. At some point I understand my soccer career will end, whether I'm twenty-two or fifty. I hope to use the skills I have learned through my lifetime of playing to help others become who they aspire to be.
