Madison Ledet '17 Recruiting Profile

It has been one of my earliest childhood goals to play soccer at the collegiate level.   I am a very committed and determined young person and have trained year round to develop my current skill level.  I was taught early that winning is done on the practice field.  I’ve been able to use that preparation and a “play hard – never quit” attitude on game day to help my teams be successful.  I also recognize that I wouldn’t have this success without playing with other committed players on my teams through the years.  This commitment helped us win the Texas State Title.  Teamwork is making each other better.  The same as building my playing skills - I am committed to developing my leadership skills.  Making my teammates better through example and encouragement is very important to me.  One of the qualities I bring to a team is I work well under pressure.  I enjoy the pressures of a game. I also have great stamina from competing in cross-country giving me the ability to play as long as needed at a very high level.  As a freshman, I placed second in my district in cross-country and helped my high-school team win our district meet.  I also competed at the regional level.   I have the ability to play any midfield position, as well as forward, with my strongest position being right-midfield.  I am also a committed student.  I admit to having a very busy schedule competing in three varsity sports for the past three years, in addition to club soccer and being very active in my church student group.  With that said – I am very proud that I have continued to focus on my studies maintaining my status as an honor roll student.
