Stephanie Rodriguez '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'3 forward from Mcallen, Texas. I will graduate in 2011, and am top 3 percent of my class. My weighted GPA is a 99.6. I have played and started on the McAllen Rowe High School varsity soccer team since my freshmen year. I earned "Newcomer of the Year" for the district (5A) my freshman year, and "1st team all-district forward" my sophomore year, and 1st team all-valley my junior year. I am very fast, using my speed as my number one way to get past the defender. I am smart on, and off the field. I posses a lot of leadership (named co-captain my sophomore year), determination, and drive. I am determined to accomplish anything I set my mind to. My education comes first, and receiving personal attention in the classroom is very important to me, therefore, I would prefer a college of 10,000 or fewer. A Christian/Catholic school would be wonderful, but is not essential. Financial assistance is a significant decision factor considering that I come from a middle class family (with other children still to be raised). I believe my best fit would be DII, however if I am qualified for DI or any other opportunity, I would be willing to play for the college that suits me best.
