I think I am a good candidate because I work really hard and I am determined to get better and learn form other people. I am also very determined to make mistakes but learn from them. In club soccer I was a starting forward and a top goal scorer for the club and when I got into high school they moved me to defense because of my ability to shut down the other team's best offensive players. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and have the ability and skills to play any position on the field.
I have been nominated from my teammates for the past 3 years as defensive MVP. I hope to win this award again this season. This was the first 3 years I have ever played defense and I hope to be one of the top players at this position by the end of the season. Also I received 1st team All-District, Hopefully I excel and help us make it to the state championship.
I am also doing really well in my classes this year and am holding a 4.0 GPA but I hope by the end of this year my GPA will go up. I plan on working really hard on my grades this year since this is a big year for me.
I just hope all these coaches realize how determined and dedicated I am to get better at soccer and work hard for the team and just be a good team player.
