I play anywhere along the back line, and am very confident about each position on either side. I lettered as a freshman on the varsity team and we placed 3rd at the state tournament, where I played right/left outside defense. My sophomore year, we placed second in state, where I started and played the entire game as center back. I was Team Defensive Player of the Year on my 4A State runner up high school team. I also play on two Division 1 teams for Albion East 99 and 00, in any of the defensive spots.
I am very involved in my community. I am an active member of First United Methodist Youth Group. I founded a Lunch Buddy Program, which brings together special education and general education students for lunch, and a Dawg Academy tutoring program at my school. I am a co-founder and president of the Meet in the Middle Club at my school, an organization which bridges the gap between special and general education students. Meet in the Middle is now the largest organization in our school. I am in National Honor Society, and I served as the class of 2018 representative for Student Council. I was also appointed to the Southeast Texas Leadership Conference as a sophomore by our Chamber of Commerce and school administrators. I will go back throughout my remaining years of high school as an alumnus. I was the freshman volleyball captain, and second lieutenant for Jasper High Schools' Drill Team.
Although the school has not published class rankings or GPA's for incoming juniors yet, I am confident that I'm in the top ten percent of my class while taking Pre-AP and AP classes.
I chose Division 1 soccer because the closest ECNL teams are 2 1/2 hours away, and my parents were not able to commit to that travel time during the week. To make up for this, I have always played up in age for my Division 1 teams. I hope to play for a university that will allow me to reach my full potential, both in soccer and academics.
