My name is Kimberly Foo. I have been playing soccer for 11 years, and I am absolutely in love with it. I've learned throughout the years that soccer not only teaches you discipline but it builds character that includes; determination, strength, and hunger for the things that you want to achieve. It has definitely helped me in life so far with the things that I have accomplished. I have been vice president in the National Junior Honor Society, I have also participated in mariachi band. I play the trumpet for my high schools' marching and concert band, and I am in student counsel. I have definitely put to use what I have learned in soccer into my school world because I know that achieving things outside of soccer is equally as important. In the classroom I try to do my very best, having an education is truly something that I desire so that I can be successful in life. I want to be a physical therapist so I am now taking a sports medicine class that is preparing me for my future career. Without soccer I don't think that I would have the same outlook and mindset that I do now, so I am very thankful and blessed to have the opportunity to be able to do what I love each day.
I have been on Varsity since I was a freshman. I play at South Grand Prairie High School as a defender. For club I play mid-field and forward, I am on D`feeters 99 Sharp, D1 in classic league. I am very versatile when it comes to putting me on the field. I think I do well in any position because I see the field as a whole. I know that when I pass the ball to my teammates there`s always that next pass that will lead us to our ultimate goal; the net. I have speed and vision. With my speed, I know that I will either get the ball or defend the player so that they have to go a different direction. With my vision, I know where the next pass is going to go, and so with that I feel that I am capable to contribute in any situation or position.
To have the opportunity to play collegiate soccer would be the best thing in the world. All of my hard work would definitely paid off, not only for me but for my number one fans: my amazing parents. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
