2011 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Laura Minor. I am a 5'6" junior defender for Dallas Sting '95 Blue in North Texas. Nine years of club soccer experience playing center defender has taught me to read the field well, communicate with teammates, and skillfully defend my goal. In addition, I exhibit strong leadership skills both on and off the field having been a 3-year team captain on my previous club team.
Ideally, I would like to attend a university with high academic standards that offers an excellent Pre-Medicine program or Biology Major curriculum that will prepare me to pass the MCAT and achieve my dream of becoming a doctor.
I am open to any geographical area and although I would like to play for a Division I school, I am willing to consider Division II and III schools. Ideally, I would like an athletic program where I can make an impact and continue to enjoy and participate in the competitive game of soccer.
