Vanessa Franco '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior from Corpus Christi, TX and will graduate in the class of 2013. I have been playing competitive soccer since age 9 and Division I soccer since age 11. I currently play at Division I level for the Lions Futball Club from San Antonio, TX which is about 175 miles away from Corpus Christi and recently with the Lonestar Soccer Club from Austin, TX, also at Division I level. I am a center mid-fielder (4 year Varsity) for Mary Carroll High School Class 5A. I am a versatile, highly dedicated, soccer player who can play many different positions but my true position is center mid-fielder. I am a team player with a strong left foot and a keen sense of the game. In my soccer career, I have proven to be successful with progressive play,& assists and goals. I currently train 3-4 times a week with a personal trainer for speed and agility training, tactical and technical soccer, as I have been doing so for the past 6 years. Some of my accomplishments include 1st Team All District 2011 and Gulf Coast Classic All Tournament Team 2011 & 2012. I also challenged myself and was selected for the 95 Girls South Texas ODP Pool in January 2011. My ultimate goal is to play competitively at the highest level of college soccer. I am currently searching for a College or University with a strong Pre-Physical Therapy Program with an emphasis on Sports Medicine and a challenging Women's Soccer Program. I intend to excel in my passion for soccer as well as in my academics. I have no preferences on location of the school as long as I am able to obtain my prerequisites to move onto Graduate School for Physical Therapy.
