Going into my freshman year, I am moving into a path that will force me to grow as a player and as a person; of which I have the sport of soccer to thank for that. As a player I will be challenged to take my skills to the next level by demonstrating leadership, agility, and endurance. As a person, I will have an opportunity to continue to produce as a member of a team that can depend on one another for success, not just in the field, but outside the field. To be successful in this path, I must also push myself academically so that I can attain two personal goals; to make the varsity team in high school and to find a respectable college that will allow leveraging my passion playing soccer.
I believe that because of my initiative in the field, my commitment to the team, and ability to lead, that I have building the talent needed to play at the college level. I have excellent ball handling skills and can strongly use both feet with a dominant left foot.
Soccer has taught me valuable lessons that I have taken to heart outside of the field. For example, I must push myself to be able to reach my goals as I am accountable for my own actions. Being a team player is also very important as a team can only win through a team effort and not through the work of an individual.
I would be grateful to be a part of any program and will give me the opportunity to demonstrate my ability to produce on the field and outside the field where my impact can help with the success of the team. Through church I have learned that God has a plan for everyone that has a path or passion that they want to pursue. I hope that through the NCSA program, I find a door to helps me continue with my path that will result in an opportunity to pursue my passion at a college level.
