Personal Statement

I have been in love with the game of soccer for many years.  The first time I was in shin guards and cleats, I was four years old.  Soccer has helped me maintain structure and be able to continually focus on keeping my grades high and academics at the forefront. With soccer as one of the guiding factors helping me choose a college, I must also choose a college that will allow me to follow my ultimate career plans.  I plan to become a pediatric orthopedic physician.  I feel that my goal to help children heal their injuries will assure that they can continue their athletic goals as I have during my years of playing defender on the soccer field.

I would love to play soccer for you and look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you so much for taking time to view my profile.

Academic Accomplishments

Are you in honor classes?
Yes. As a junior, I began taking college classes concurrently enrolled with my high school. I completed my first class and am in the process of taking my second class now. I presently have a 4.0 GPA for my college classes.

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsI was nominaled to be a member of the National Society of High School Scholars in June of 2011. During the 2013 season, I was named Academic All district.
  • ActivitiesI am a strong advocate for volunteering in our community. I was asked during the summer between my sophomore and junior year to assist with a Suicide prevention program for teenagers. As a result of agreeing to help, a professional video was completed and placed on the Texas Suicide prevention.org website. This video production was later used as a fundraiser for the Mental Health of America, as well. I am so proud to have been a part of this production. The name of the story is "Be the person: Lynzee's story of help and hope". Here is the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku4Pw6i2yXA I was also chosen to participate as a volunteer in the Teen Summer Program for Dell Children's Medical Center during 2012. Also as a volunteer, I participated as a member of my Varsity Soccer team in the Dell Children's Medical Center Bereavement memorial service. I spent time working with children whose siblings have died to give their parents time to participate in the memorial service. This event was on April 14, 2012. I also plan to participate in the next 2 years as well. I also have served as an assistant at the Medical Rest stop for the Austin Marathon on February 19, 2012. I am a member of the HOSA (Health Occupation Students Association) program. This program allows more opportunities for volunteering in the public in health related activities on a more routine basis.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
