I live in tiny town Tullahoma, Tennessee where Friday nights are spent under the lights of the football stadium cheering on the football team while the rest of the weekend is spent out on the lake or anywhere with a bonfire. Anything in between consists of soccer, school, and work. Soccer is a passion of mine and I love expressing it any chance that I get. My soccer schedule runs year round with high school season in the fall and club soccer following in the spring. In the mean time I work at Action Indoor Sports Complex that my father owns. The soccer complex is considered a second home to me. One of the things I love about my job is getting paid to watch soccer. One of my favorite nights to work at the complex is Wednesday night pick-up games. During pick-up people come and play seven minute games throughout the night. The age ranges anywhere from high school to adult. Along with working pick-up I also join my own team to play on throughout the night. Playing pick-up with the adults, mostly them being men, allows me to challenge myself and see a much faster and more intense way to play the game.
My main goal in life as of right now is to find out what exactly I want to do with my life. I wish I could say I knew exactly what I wanted to do in the future but I don’t. Knowing that I have an open mind and love trying new things gives me no worries as to finding what I want to do after college. Playing soccer at the collegiate level is the only thing I am one hundred percent sure I want to experience in college at the moment. Ever since I started playing soccer I have always told myself I will play in college. Some of my interests include culinary studies or graphic design. Cooking shows have inspired my interest in the culinary field while working with different computer systems, in some of my classes at school has inspired my interest for graphic design.
During the fall I play soccer for Tullahoma High School. I am a varsity center midfielder for my fourth and final year at Tullahoma High. I received Freshman of the Year when I was a Freshman, First Team All-District during my Sophomore year, and Second Team All-District my Junior year. After high school season is over club soccer begins in the spring. I play on Camp Forrest soccer club and have been for seven years now. I have one of the best coaches, him being my dad, and the best teammates anyone could ask for. Last year the team finished first in state for Division III, and second in state for Division II this year. Experiencing the play from being on both of these teams for so long has helped me figure out that I have very important aspects I can bring to any team. I have strong confidence and a sense of leadership when I am playing, along with good vision of the field, the ability to work with all players on the field, and a competitive mind-set that pushes me until the last whistle.
I have a strong work ethic not only on the soccer field, but with school and anything I set my mind to. My parents have made a big impact on my life through all of their support, time, and effort they have put into what has helped me become the confident soccer player I am today. I believe to succeed in anything I must strive to do my best, and work hard to make my best even better.
