Personal Statement

My name is Sami Wilson and I live soccer...oops, I mean I love soccer. Well, actually both. There are not many days that go by that I am not watching and/or playing soccer. I am a student of the game. My best assets on the field are my soccer IQ and my ability to possess and distribute the ball. In my sophomore year I was 2nd team all state, first team all league and team MVP. In my junior year I was first team all state, first team all league, team MVP and league MVP. I am currently on the 2014 All-American Watch List. I am very honored by that. My club team went to the Farwest Regionals in the summer of 2014 as the State Champions for U-17 in Oregon. That was an amazing tournament. The level of play was very exciting. I have been on the Oregon 97 ODP team for as long as it has been formed. I went to a few Regional camps and had some amazing coaches and training. My goal is to play at the highest possible level. My major is Education.I want to be an elementary school teacher. I really want to make a difference in the lives of children.

ActivitiesI volunteer for the church youth classes as a helper. I have been a peer mediator in school. I was class president in 6th and 7th grade. I volunteer with the elderly to do errands for them. I help in a second grade class at Irving Elementary three hours a day 2-3 times per week. I help my mom with volunteer work for the Bethel Boosters and for my soccer club.
