Personal Statement

Winning the Disney ESPN showcase was one highlight of my soccer career. However, the times that I really grew as an athlete was the period building up to winning gymnastics nationals and also during the year we lost the state tournament in the finals. The past gymnastics experience just proved how endless commitment, focus, and hard work can overcome the biggest obstacles. Loosing in the state finals pushed me to be a better leader and refocused my attention on improving even the small details.

Through all the wins and all the losses, I have learned the importance of teamwork and dedication. I have seen how working on even the little aspects of the game can have a noticeable effect on the field. I am looking for the school that fits me academically as well as athletically. As a top athlete and captain, I believe I possess the right qualities to compete at the next level. My attitude, work-ethic, and driven nature prove that I will make a positive impact on your team.
