Personal Statement

I have been playing soccer since I was seven years old when my parents put me into the Sunflake Soccer program in Grand Forks, North Dakota. My love for soccer has grown over the years and has kept growing to the point where my dream is to play at the highest level of soccer I can throughout my life. My biggest accomplishment throughout my soccer career so far is making varsity soccer as an eighth grader at Central High School. I have been playing at the varsity level for four years now and I hope I can advance to the college level. For my major, I am interested in Science but I am still undecided what field of science I want to pursue. I am a hard worker in everything I do from academics to making myself a better player on and off the field. I am a fast learner and I welcome criticism on every level as I believe there is always room for improvement. I have a 4.0 cumulative GPA and have a 4.3 weighted GPA. I am involved in extra- curricular activities at my school and many clubs and programs through soccer. Programs like the Greater Grand Forks Soccer Club and the Fargo Soccer Club have made me the player I am today. My high school team has taught me to never give up and push myself to the maximum no matter what the outcome is. Being a flexible player over the years, I have played every position from goalie to forward, but my favorite position and the position where I have excelled the most is forward.
