My name is Anna Shaye Thompson and I am a junior at Nash Central High School in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. I play soccer at CASL in Raleigh, North Carolina and I am on the 99 CASL Ladies red. This fall my team will be playing in the Region III League for the 3rd season in a row. I take this game very seriously and I do want to be able to succeed in both academics and athletics.
I train with my team three times a week and with my goalie coach two times a week. As much as I am focused on soccer, I take the classroom even more seriously. I maintain high grades in my classes and work hard each and everyday to do just that. It takes a lot of studying and hard work to keep my grades up with how much I run around with soccer, but it's worth it because I do want to go to a college that has great academics and athletics.
I am very involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at my school serving as the secretary in 9th grade and I was the President as a 10th grader. As much as I love soccer and doing great in school, The Lord is my top priority. I could not accomplish anything without Him. I participate in the Debu-ette Club in my community. This club involves many community service activities and it also helps you learn how to have proper etiquette. I was also the freshman class president at my high school. My main goal my whole life has been to succeed in everything I do and getting into a good college and even playing soccer would be more than amazing!
