I enjoyed playing soccer from an early age and I continue to find myself kicking a ball around whenever I am in contact with one. Sometime not always good because I forget I am in the house at times. Soccer has naturally become my passion and I continue to push myself to excel further. I believe that you are never done learning. My education has always been equally important, and I found it easy to balance both academics and my athletic life. After high school; I am seeking an opportunity where I can be challenged both physically as well as mentally. My goals are to get a good education while I enjoy playing soccer at a high level while further developing my soccer skills. I want to make an impact on a team that I can utilize my talents and aspirations. I feel that my talent and experience will be an asset to any team. An example of this is when playing in a tournament we were short a few players and I stepped up and played the position of center mid-field which is not my normal position however, I am adaptable and can access the field and know where my players are at all times. After winning the tournament I remember like it was yesterday my coach speaking to the team and stating how I stepped up and played out of position but played it like it was seamless. Another example is when I broke my collar bone during tryouts of my sophomore year I did not let that bring me down. I continued to go to practice and observe my team from the sideline which made me see things and bring them to the coach’s attention which also made me a better player. As for my academics, when working in groups I am always the one that takes the lead on projects and distributes out assignments and organizes everything so that we have things done in a timely manner.
My life to date, has prepared me for entering college as I have learned the importance of balancing all aspects of life.
