Amanda Banner '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Amanda Banner; I am 16 years old and a junior at Cedar Creek High School. My high school is unique in that I will be part of the first graduation class in the history of the school. However, they did not offer varsity sports until my junior year. I play soccer year round for my school and travel team. In both my club team and school team I dominate as a goal tender.

            Standing at 5’5 and weighing in at 120lbs, some say I may be a little short for a typical goalie, but I make up for it in determination, agility, speed, and how high I can jump. During my sophomore year, I had eight shut outs and only let one goal pass completing our inaugural season as conference champs. I lead off my varsity junior year as co-captain with three consecutive shut outs ending the season with a total of 120 saves in 21 games. I earned the prestigious Coaches Award and the Most Valuable Female Fall Athlete at Cedar Creek High School of 2011. Currently in my club team, Hamilton Township MSL Rage, we had received the title as Champions in the Pemberton Columbus Weekend Tournament.  I can proudly say we are ranked 30 in all of New Jersey in the U16 division.

            I am hard working and willing to do anything to better myself as a goalie, a student and as a person. Soccer is my life; I’ll work as hard as possible to succeed on and off the field.  I am looking forward to playing at the next level and I am open to play for any division my freshman year as a college student.
