Thank you for getting a chance to view my NCSA profile. My name is Catherine Contreras, I'm 19 years old, and I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I played soccer her and there. I also watched my brother play too, he quickly encouraged me to play as well and it didn't take long for me to fall in love with the sport. I actually started playing soccer at the age of 14. I played soccer my junior and senior in Del Sol high school. My high school coach decided to do practice with the team outside high school to better our season. It went very well, and I learned a lot. I quickly decided that I did not want my soccer career to end at the high school level. I began training, training and training I was so motivated to move to the next level, the collegiate level. I had the support of my mother, and that is one of things that kept driven to do the best that I can do. Of course sports isn't everyting, school is also important. I've always had in interest in pyschology, more specifically clinical pyschology which is the study of treatment and diagnosis of mental health. I would love to study, and learn hands on. My parents were my motivation for everything. My parents were immigrants, and they came to the United States with nothing. With them comimg here, opened the door to new opportunites for me. I am thankful, and it is a constant reminder how much better I can, need, and will do. The summer of 2011 I played soccer for Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland, Kansas JUCO division II. It was a great experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. I finished the semester in December of 2011, also moving back to my hometown of Las Vegas. Going back I practice and planned to go to school so I can be eligble to play my second year. While practicng in Las Vegas I completely tore my ACL and had surgery October 22, 2012 and recuperating. I absolutely do not want this to hold me back, and want to keep playing, Please contact me and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. God Bless
