Keely Lane '17 Recruiting Profile

Playing college soccer has been a goal of mine for a long time and sits at the top of my list of things I want to accomplish. I have been playing soccer since I was five and can't remember a time when I ever wanted to give it up. I have always been a fierce competitor on the field and use every opportunity presented to push myself to get better.  Being forced to sit on the sidelines with an injury for six months only strengthened my passion for the game.  Time spent watching my teams play not only gave me great insight into the game itself but also fueled my drive to return stronger and more determined than before.   Besides my soccer skills, I am also proud of what other coaches have consistently complimented me on such as my coachability, my strong work ethic, and my ability to be a team player.  I always give 110% whether that is at practice, in a game, or in a classroom.  I am as committed to excelling in the classroom as I am on the field because I know the two go hand in hand.
