Sienna Klopp '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sienna Klopp and I am currently a senior at Belgrade High School in  Belgrade, Montana. My graduation date is May 2012.   I have been a starter on my high school's Varsity team for 4 years and a starter on my club team for 6 years.  Although I enjoy playing outside midfielder and defense, I am willing to play anywhere on the field.  During my junior and current senior year, my position has been mainly outside right defense, stopper and right midfield, but I can switch on the fly to anywhere on the field.   I also started every game during my senior season. 

My high school team finished the season 8-2-2.  We lost in a play in game after losing our starting keeper to a torn ACL and sprained MCL injury.  We were still #2 in our conference and our team was the only team in the state to beat the team that is playing for the state championship on 10-29-11.  That team had a 48 game winning streak end when we played them this season!  My club team will be formed by January and we will start with indoor practices.  I am looking forward to my last season with my club team and will hopefully get to play with my younger sister, who is a sophomore, on a team one more time.

My current GPA is 3.81 and I have been taking AP classes the past 2 years.  During my junior year I took AP US History and AP Language and Comp.  This year I am taking AP Government and AP Calculus.  In addition to my academics and playing soccer,  I have held a part time job the past 2 years and volunteer to help younger players within our Belgrade Rage soccer club in the spring.  I started a mentoring program with the club 2 years ago called SIS (Sisters in Sports) to encourage players, especially girls, to stay in soccer and succeed academically.  I am hoping that the program will continue once I graduate.

While I would like to attend an out of state college, I won't limit myself to that choice.   My goal is to play at a school that emphasizes academics while offering me the opportunity to play soccer.   I am interested in becoming a Physician Assistant and my minor would be Spanish since I have enjoyed learning the language during my 4 years in high school.  College is an institution for learning, so getting a good education  will be my top priority.
