Sarah Miller '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sarah Miller and I am currently a sophomore who attends Boonville High School in Boonville, Missouri. I play as goalkeepr for my high school as well as my club team, the Boonville Soccer Academy.

I started playing soccer as a freshman in high school. Despite starting a new game so late in my athletic career, I learned the game quickly, fell in love with it, and have began to excell at it. I have worked extremely hard to get my skill level to be where it needs to be at this level, and the hard work has payed off. 

My freshman year, I made the high school varsity roster and was the only freshman on the roster. I started every junior varsity game and finished the season with 8 shutouts, a goals against average of 1.1, a save percentage of 79.8, and 67 total saves on the season. I spend hours working with my club goalkeeper coach to perfect my skills. 

Academically, I work just as hard. I currently have a GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale.  I took my first ACT this past October and scored a 22. I'm planning to take the test again in the spring and hope to improve my score to at least a 24. I am going to take some prep classes and practice tests to raise my scores.

I am hoping to play for a division 1 or 2 college, but I am open to any division. Location is not an incredibly important factor to me, as I would be happy going to school close to home but would also love the opportunity to explore.

Soccer has become my passion, and playing soccer at the collegiate level while earning and education would be nothing short of a dream come true.
