Personal Statement

It is my goal to continue playing soccer in college while at the same time using my soccer skills as an opportunity for me to earn a college degree.  I am a humble person with a history of a tremendous and relentless work ethic that has enabled me to always be prepared to compete at the highest level.  I would like the opportunity to improve my level of play – to challenge myself to enhance my skill, technique, and style.

As a freshman and sophomore, I played on the Rosemount High School varsity team.  My team plays in the South Suburban Conference, which many consider the most competitive conference in the state of Minnesota. I played at least half of each game and made a positive impact while I was on the field.  During the club season, I play in both the MRL and MYSA Premiere Leagues for Dakota REV Soccer Club. I am proud to be one of the original players on this team since I was 8 years old.  I have been trained by highly regarded coaches who have provided opportunities for improvement/growth in tactical, technical and psychological (abilities) portions of my game.  My size and physical strength, combined with my speed and determination, allow me to be a presence in the middle of the field.  I have excellent vision of the field, I enjoy setting up plays by making the perfect pass to a teammate, and I confidently defend the middle of the field.  I take pride in being a positive leader with a strong internal drive who ultimately wants to contribute to the success of the team.

Soccer is my passion and I would feel fortunate to have the opportunity to play for 4 more years at a competitive collegiate level that matches my skill set.  Soccer has been the medium that has allowed me the most opportunity to grow as a person both on and off the field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
