Anneliese Peterson '17 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach,

I have always dreamed of playing competitive soccer in college, it's been one of the things that I've always worked towards and had in the back of my head since I was a kid. I want to play for a school that can provide for me academically first, and give me opportunities to advance in soccer, second. I know how to work hard, be a team player, and balance my time wisely. I have pushed myself since I was little and have earned my way on to the varsity team as a freshman in high school, and earned a spot on a premier team for four years. I know that hard work has gotten me here and that it's a driving factor going forward. Being in center mid, and having experience playing with a lot of different people has given me the opportunity to not only adapt to the team around me and play multiple positions, but given me leadership skills like communication that can be useful with a team that plays such a short season like high school. I also have been very active in high school, being in multiple student government activities, playing high school soccer, basketball and track and balancing all of that with club seasons and school work; I have definitely learned to balance my time and it shows in my success on and off the field. Going forward, I have always been interested in science and math, so I am interested in three different areas for majors at the moment; forensics science, engineering, and kinesiology.  Something that sets me apart is my work ethic, ability to balance my time, and my versatility on the field. I have played full seasons at center defender, defensive midfield, attacking midfield, as well as center and outside forward.
