My name is Alex Arnoldy. I am the goalie for my club team, The Rochester Soccer Club (RSC ’95 Lightning White) and my High School Varsity team, Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, Michigan). I have been playing soccer for eleven years and this is my 9th year of club soccer. My RSC team is playing in the Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP) at the Premier 1 level. My accomplishments include: *Working my way from the Classic 2 level to the Premier 1 level *2011 Selected as one of the MVP’s in the Adidas National Showcase in Strongsville, OH *2011 Making it to the Michigan State Cup Quarter Finals. *2011 – Winning our Ultimate Soccer indoor league, and allowing the fewest goals in the league My accomplishments in my high school soccer career include *Elected as Team Captain for the 2013 season *2012 – Winning our division of the Catholic League, Winning districts and beating our team’s nemesis Detroit Country Day, Winning regionals, advancing to the State Semi-Finals *2012 – Making 1st Team All-District, Region, 3rd team All-State (2nd ranked Junior in Mich D3), and All-Oakland-County (honorable mention) *2011 - Winning our Division of the Catholic League *2011 – Played every minute of every game as a Sophomore, and was named to the All-District team *2010 - Making varsity as a freshman and starting seventy-five percent of the season I can bring a positive attitude and non-stop work ethic to any team on and off the field. I believe players are made in the off season, so I never stop working hard. Soccer has always been my passion and I can hardly imagine not playing soccer in college. I would like to find a college that is a good fit for me that is in the Midwest, but I am open to all options. What is really important to me is a challenging academic environment where I can play soccer that offers a high quality accredited athletic training program. I would also prefer a school that offers smaller class sizes so there is more one-on-one attention between the professor and student. However, if I have to travel a little further or have a little larger class size to find a good fit I will happily do so. I feel that athletic training is a great fit for me because I enjoy being around the sports environment. With respect to a soccer program I am looking to contribute to a competitive team where I can work my way into a starting role. I have made great strides in my most recent Club and High School seasons and with training in the off season, plan to continue this effort into my final year of pre-collegiate soccer, and into college the following fall.
