Liz Mullin '13 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches, Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. My name is Liz Mullin and I am currently a rising Junior at Okemos High School (D1) in mid-Michigan. I am a left-footed midfielder, but I am ambidextrous. I have played soccer since kindergarten and I aspire to play in college. I've played at many different positions throughout my years but I currently reside as a starting outside left midfielder. I am currently enjoying playing center mid at various summer camps.  I have worked my way up over the years to make the Vardar ECNL team in Michigan.  I feel my speed, work rate, and crosses are my biggest assets to the team. I train on my own three-four extra days a week to maintain my level of play/fitness. One of my biggest accomplishments during my first highschool season was starting as a freshman in more games than any other freshman in the history of our high school (according to our coach). We lost in regional finals to the number one ranked team in the nation, but it was a great experience being able to win Districts.

I have  many interests so my future is exciting. I attended a prestigious two week writing/acting camp at Bryn Mawr my Freshman summer and really gained interest in literature and liberal arts. I also think I have an entreprenurial spirit. Acting, news casting or getting into film productions with screenwriting, directing or something in that area has really interested me.  Over the past year, my interest in natural sciences has really expanded, so as you can see, my academic interests are vast.  

Through soccer, I have made so many life long friends. Soccer has served as a ladder to my success. With this success, I have reached many personal goals outside of the pitch. Soccer has helped build up my confidence level and I truly feel with hard work I will accomplish what I want in life. I consider myself very self-driven, motivated, focused and disciplined. I am the youngest in a large family with two very supportive parents and three amazing older brothers. Being the youngest, and only daughter in my family, I have learned a lot from each family member. I'm really close to all of my siblings and I'm almost certain I have never gone a day without laughing. We have so much happiness and laughter in my family that everyday in my house is always entertaining in one way or another. I hope to raise a family like mine one day.
