Academics: I love learning and therefore challenge myself with difficult classes. I have taken the maximum amount of Honors classes, and as many AP classes that fit my schedule. I earned a four on my AP US History exam, and I strive to pass every AP test I take. At this point, I wish to major in a branch of science and minor in Spanish. My ideal college will provide me with the education and experiences to earn my degree and prepare me for graduate work.?
Soccer: After making Varsity my freshman year, I became inspired to accelerate my level of play during club season by playing on a higher level MRL team. I successfully moved to outside defense after playing eight years of outside midfield. I helped my high school team record numerous shutouts in the hardest high school division in the state. I play my best against teams that challenge my physical and mental strength. My goal is to play collegiate soccer on a team where I can be impactful and inspirational.
Inspiration: I have participated in multiple mission trips (most recently Tennessee, New York, and Peru) and I love being an inspiration and a blessing to others. Even at home in Lake Orion, I enjoy a wide range of leadership opportunities such as the MYLead Conference (a Michigan leadership conference awarded by teachers to only two sophomores from my class of 600+). I also joined a peer support group for suicide prevention called S.O.S. I hope to attend a college that will have many charitable and leadership opportunities.
Challenges: Because I love to travel, I have challenged myself to visit every continent (other than North America, I spent two weeks playing soccer in Europe and I attended a mission trip in South America). I also enjoy athletic challenges; a marathon and a triathlon are also on my bucket list. I get grumpy when I don't exercise:) I would like my college to have a fantastic study abroad program.
