Kaleigh Mahaz '17 Recruiting Profile

I began playing soccer at 4 years old, at 7 years old I moved to select travel soccer at Canton Soccer Club. Thanks to my mom I have  always had a love for the game and as I have gotten older it has become my passion. The experiences with my teammates and the memories I have made I will have for a lifetime.  As my team has grown and our competition level increased I have realized that I would like to continue playing soccer at the collegiate level, I can't begin to imagine not playing at a highly competitive level in 2 more years.  With that I made the decision to broaden my opportunities and have moved to the Michigan Hawks. I train year year around outside of club with my trainer of the last 5 years, Kirk Vickers ( Former NHL athletic trainer). I'm very competitive on and off the field which drives me to work hard at being a better student, athlete, teammate, friend. 
My speed and physical strength has probably been my biggest asset that I have brought to my teams and my determination to win every ball. I thrive in high pressure, challenging games where I tend to play my best. Being naturally left footed has definitely been an advantage for me. I'm so excited to see where my hard work and dedication takes me in the next few years!
