Hi, I’m Diamond Best I’m from the Boston area of Massachusetts. I attend Miss Hall’s, a boarding school in Western Massachusetts. I have played competitive soccer for 10 years.
I hope to find a college where I can get the best academic education and fulfill my dream of playing soccer at the highest competition level possible. I have been a starter for my club team and high school team since freshman year. I am a versatile, committed and courageous player who likes to win and score goals.
My strengths on the field include my ability to control the midfield and having a full vision of the field. That vision allows me to posses and distribute the ball well to my teammates. My ball control is also a big part of my game. Being and aggressive but smart player, I am able to win 50/50 balls out of the air. I am a great asset to any team due to my strong work ethic. I work 110% at all times.
I am an attacking minded player however, I am always prepared to help out on defense. With my patience and fast footwork I am able to delay, contain and stop the opponents attack thus creating chances for my team to score on the counterattack. I am an enthusiastic player on the field. I am very coachable and I like to take in feedback and use it to make me a better player. I also get along very well with my teammates. I’m a supportive and fun person off the field which ultimately makes us have a better connection on the field.
I like to be a leader on and off the field. During my freshman and sophomore year I was an Athletic Association representative for my class. Then for my junior year I was elected as Co-head of the school’s Athletic Association. On the field during games I am a vocal leader who also likes to lead teammates by example of hard work. Giving back to my community is also imporant to me. During my sophomore year I voltunteered as an assisant in a classroom at the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club. I believe that my high degree of ethics, integrity, passion. My strong work ethic tied in with my commitment level will help me succed in the future.
