I have had the privilege of playing soccer for the past fifteen years. When my older sister started playing soccer at town level, I instantly fell in love with the sport. Being only two years old was a big disadvantage but I would beg every day to practice with my sister's U6 soccer team. This is how I first got interested in the game of soccer. By the time I turned eight I was playing travel soccer and loving every minute. As I grew older my skills and speed improved allowing me to play for a first division team in the Massachusetts Premier League. The team (Junior Pioneers) practiced an hour from my house, my parents and I would travel an hour each way three days a week for practice and games. We did this for three years. I spent many nights doing homework in the car going down and back to practice.
I have played varsity soccer for my high school team since my freshman year and was elected team captain my junior year. I enjoy being one of the leaders on the field, encouraging and guiding my teammates. I understand that success does not come easy and I constantly challenge myself to improve my speed and skills. My primary position is defense but I'm willing to play any position that will help my team win. I look forward to playing for a strong college team and a coach who will help me improve and grow.
Growing up in a very small town helps in many ways both on and off the field. I am currently a junior and I am in a graduating class with 62 other students. I am a very hard working student and strive to get high honors every quarter. My core classes are all honors classes. I enjoy the challenge of taking honors classes, I always find a way to balance my school work and soccer. I am eager to start training and have the opportunity to be a part of a college soccer team.
