Lyndse Hokanson '10 Recruiting Profile

I am Lyndse Hokanson and I go to South River High School. In 2010 I will be graduating and hope to then be off to play at a competitive school at the collegiate level. In a small town like the one that I am from, you always hear about the local kids who are off to play the sports that they love at big time colleges. I would give anything to be the next conversation starter at the local restaurant, if you know what I mean. I would consider myself an emotional, vocal leader. I push myself and others around me to give their very best on the pitch, in the classroom , or even on the court. Also, I pride myself on having a respectable character. When it is all said and done, if people can remember me as a dignified player who exhibited respect for the game and those who play it, that would be a satisfactory accomplishment. I strive for the best of myself and everything that I do and prove that by challenging myself in classes such as AP European History. I plan to take even more AP classes next year as well, and further my knowledge of the world around me. A passion that nearly matches the large passion that I have for soccer is the one that I have for writing. A college that has a strong Journalism program is one that would really spark my interest. Overall, my expectations and hopes for college are still pretty wide open and I am truly leaving almost anything at a possibility level. Anywhere that I find I can achieve my full potential as a well-rounded person is going to ultimately be the school that I hope to attend.
