Kelly O'Mahoney '11 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Kelly-Caitlin O'Mahoney. I love soccer and have played since I was 5 years old. I have played premier, developmental, ODP, junior high and high school JV and varsity level. I am fast and strong and cannot wait to earn a spot on a college team and continue developing in this sport. Academically, I am doing very well in high school in gifted and honors classes. I am right foot dominant but can use my left foot extremely well and can play either side in the back. My strength is that I am very strong, a hardworker, and willing to do whatever it takes for my team to get the job done. I am known as the playmaker. I set up the forwards with my passing. I usually play either as a Def Mid/sweeper or Outside Back. I have better than average speed and understand the technical side of the game as well. I am 5'6 and 130 pounds. I am not afraid to get into a challenge with my feet, body, and head. I have been a team captain, and am involved in other outside activities which have all enhanced my leadership skills. Our premiere team has won state 4 times in a row, we also won regionals once. I am starting for FHS Varsity team and we are undefeated so far this year. We are ranked #1 in Louisiana, our current record is 20-0-2 with only 2 goals allowed all season. We are also ranked #4 in the nation. We won the round robin tournament over Christmas vacation of the top 10 schools in LA. I am not limiting my geographical boundaries. I would like to go to a 4 year school and major in engineering and design. I really would like to play soccer as a freshman at the highest level of competition possible.
