I am a fast, physical Foward. I also play Attacking Midfielder. My player philosophy is to always give 110%, both on and off the field. Since first falling in love with the sport at the age of 4, soccer has quickly become my passion and something I would love to pursue to the collegiate level. I am not afraid of hard work and commitment. I believe in working hard for something I want, as well as always encouraging others to do the same. I feel that I have been preparing for collegiate play for many years.
I have been a key player as a forward for my competitive club team, the Gonzales Cyclones, helping to win the Louisiana State Cup in both 2012 & 2013. The Cyclones have successfully placed 1st or 2nd in over 80% of the tournaments we participated in, such as The Flora-Bama Showcase, Emerald Coast Cup, The Big Easy, and Louisiana President’s Cup. I have also been successful in the position of an attacking midfielder on my club team. I have been a Varsity starter as a forward since my freshmen year in 2012. Lettering since my sophomore year (freshmen year injury), I have also accomplished being selected as 2nd Team All District in 2014 & 2015. One of my proudest moments would be scoring the only goal that lead us into the second round of district playoffs in 2014. I am currently on Louisiana’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) and have been chosen to be on a Region III pool team in which I will be attending Region III Trials in Montevallo, Alabama in July 2015. I will also be attending College Combine at the University of Louisiana Monroe. I feel that ODP is continuing to expand my skills both technically and mentally to improve my game. I was also on the 2011-2012 ODP Louisiana Team.
As a forward, my overall speed, ability to use both feet with accuracy and power, and ability to be confident in 1v1's and fast breaks, allows me to challenge any opposing player I go up against. I am not afraid of contact, while also maintaining good sportsmanship and being a respectable player. Additionally, as an attacking midfielder, I'm able to anticipate where the ball should be placed and distribute the ball accurately. I have been playing soccer for 11 years, have been a varsity starter since my freshmen year, and have been 2nd team All District the past two years. I have been playing competitive comp.1 soccer with the Gonzales Cyclones for the past 6 years and will be transitioning to Baton Rouge Premier Soccer Club this upcoming fall/spring season. In 2014-2015 of my club team season, I scored a total of 21 goals in various tournaments and games, along with 10 assists, 25 SOG. For my high school season, 2014-2015, I scored 14 goals with 10 assists and 27 total SOG but unfortunately missed 10 games of the season total due to an urgent surgery not related to injury or soccer. I feel confident in the fact that I am a coachable player always looking for ways to improve and step up my game.
I would like to attend a college that allows me to play the sport I love, while also obtaining an undergrad degree in Science, in hopes of becoming a future Physicians Assistant. Currently, I am maintaining a 3.8 GPA while also being a mentor and avid member of my school's Student Council and TAG Program. I also volunteer at the Baton Rouge General Hospital once a week and am also in my schools Allied Health Program. I am also taking measures to increase my ACT score as well.
I am open to any sized school and would like to find a team where I can make a difference.
