Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Morgan Evans, I am currently a sophomore at Noblesville High School in Noblesville, IN. I am 5'7" and I weigh 128 pounds. I have been playing the game of soccer since I was 7 years old. During my U11-U13 seasons I played for one of the top teams in the state (Hoosier FC 98 Elite) as a left mid-fielder. Starting with my U14 season I transitioned into the position of keeper that has been a natural fit for my abilities.  Once I made this transition to keeper I left HFC to become the starting keeper for the IPSC 97 black team. During my 8th grade year as the keeper for the IPSC 97 Girls Black team I helped lead this team on a successful run to the State Challenge Cup Finals. This experience of assuming a leadership role on a team and playing a year above my age group was priceless to my development. Due to this experience and the maturity level on the team I began to develop and grow as not only an individual player in the Keeper position but my leadership skills were enhanced due to this as well.  Due to the success with the 97 Girls team and my strong work ethic I was able to earn a spot on the IPSC 98 Girls Premier team.  This team competed at the MRL Level and we won the 2013 Indiana State Cup Championship.  I take great pride in my development and work ethic that has allowed me to transition from an offensive player on one of the top teams in the state of Indiana to a goal keeper performing at the highest levels in the Midwest region and National Showcase events such as Carmel Crossroads, St. Louis Scott Gallagher, and the Disney Soccer Showcase.  In these events I have been given the chance to compete against some of the top talent in the Nation.   Beginning the 2014 season I will be moving to the Dynamo FC U16 MPL team and I have also earned a spot as an ECNL Discovery Player with Carmel United Soccer Club.  I believe that I possess many characteristics an athlete needs to make it to the next level - skill, determination, stamina, dedication, and commitment to my education both on and off the field. I have a great desire and determination to excel and to push everyone around me to achieve at a higher level. This can be seen through my work ethic each time I step on the field. I desire to continue to play the game that I love at the highest level possible. My goal as an athlete would be to play at the collegiate level with a team who is as dedicated and determined as I am to be successful.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
