Katy Long '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Katy Long I am 17, just over 6 feet tall, weigh 150lbs and have been playing soccer for 13 years. I have excelled in track, varsity basketball, and varsity soccer. It is my dream to play soccer at the highest possible collegiate level, so this year I will only be focusing on soccer. The NWI United soccer club recruited me to play with them after representatives watched me play as a freshman in sectionals 2009. I played center back and was able to consistently stop and challenge both the first and second team all area strikers in Northwest Indiana. So far, those games are my proudest moments as a soccer player. I am a hard worker and enjoy playing against the best competition and in tournaments. I currently rank number 3 in my class and want to go to a college where I will be challenged both academically and athletically.
