Natalie Teo '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Natalie Teo! I am a junior at Columbus North High School in Columbus, Indiana. I've played soccer for 13 years and am looking to continue my career throughout college. Ever since I was young I've had a great passion for the game of soccer. I watch professional games (Barclays Premier League, La Liga) any time I can and watching the pros helps me to learn things like making the right pass as well as different skills. I lived in Singapore for two years when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Moving to Singapore gave me a really great experience with so many different cultures and meeting new people from all over the world. I played on a competitive women's league team with women who were around 20 years old, which helped me to learn different aspects of the game.

My academic goal for the rest of my high school career is to keep my GPA up. I want to keep myself motivated throughout the rest of high school and through college graduating with a degree to help start my career.

I originally play center midfield for both my high school and club team but I can adapt well to other positions. I read the game well by thinking about where the next pass will be going whether I'm on offense or defense. I'm accurate when it comes to passing the ball and when I see my teammates making a run I can pick them out. Also, I am able to dribble/pass/shoot well with both feet and I have very good first touch, which contributes to my technical skills. I'm a hard worker and always look for things to improve on and when a coach tells gives me input I try my best to do what they ask me to do!
