Jamie Smith '13 Recruiting Profile

I am very involved in extracurricular activities. For the past four years, I have played varsity high school volleyball and soccer. My ninth and tenth grade years I played varsity basketball. I am apart of Beta club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Student Government Association. I am currently the senior class president of Locust Grove High School. Along with school sports and clubs, I play club soccer year round. I have participated in honors and AP courses and as of right now I am ranked number eight in my class. My current grade point average is a 3.98 weighted and a 3.78 un-weighted. I am a very active individual and I believe that my experiences have prepared me and will help me be successful in college, college sports, and with my intended future profession. I plan to find a career in the medical field because I am passionate about health care. I am involved in a health care program at my high school, which allows me to go out into health care facilities to observe and learn how to care for patients and watch surgeries. I am also CPR certified. Through this experience, I have found a passion for medicine and I intend on pursuing a career in the medical field.
