Sophie Schweizer '23 Recruiting Profile

  My parents signed me up for soccer when I was 4 years old and after scoring my first goal I was hooked! Growing up with soccer in my life has been amazing. Not only did I discover I have a true talent for the sport, but I have made friendships that will last a lifetime. Soccer has taught me the meaning of team, and how important cooperation and collaboration are in all you do. It has taught me about hard work and dedication and how to be a good sport, and know that it is okay to celebrate success, but also how important it is to lose with dignity and respect. My life will always include soccer in some capacity.

  I truly wish to play soccer at the collegiate level and feel I will be an asset to any team. I am versatile and can play multiple positions, I am strong, fast and work hard every day to grow my speed and endurance as well as my knowledge of the game. Not only does my hard work show through my athletics but also in my education. I am a dedicated student and excel in my studies, specifically in math and science. My academics are important to me and I strive to have a healthy balance between school and sports.
