Personal Statement

Hi my name is Victoria Haussler. I prefer to be called Tori. I am 5’2 and my average weight is 134lbs. You might be thinking that I am a bit small to play soccer, but what I lack in height I make up for in strength and speed. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old and have received one of the following awards every year that I have played: All Conference, MVP, Most Improved, Leading Scorer or Best Defense. I recently starting running track to improve my endurance and core strength and qualified in my sophomore year for state by running the 2nd split of a 4X100 meter relay. In my recent track season I qualified for the Regional 100 Meter run. Although I have excelled at track in the last few years, my love is for the game of soccer. I am dedicated to be the best athlete and overall person I can be. I am motivating to any team that I am part of as I believe that hard work, dedication and teamwork is the key for success. I am a tireless worker and stay focused. All of my coaches will tell you I have two personalities, a large and playful personality off the field and a more focused driven personality on the field, I think it takes both to keep me balanced in my academics and athletics. I will do whatever I personally can to ensure I put my team in a position to win and as a result can play multiple positions, which is something all of my coaches take full advantage of.

My aspirations are to attend college for Medicine with the long term career goal of Plastic Surgery so I can change the lives of people born with birth defects through reconstructive and corrective surgery. My ideal college would be one that is large and diverse, academically challenging and obviously one with a great soccer organization. I was born in Alaska, raised in Chicago and Atlanta and currently reside in Florida. I am open to colleges located anywhere in the United States, but my first choice would be to remain in the state of Florida.

As I start my Senior year I am looking forward to playing with my new club soccer team, JYSC. We took first place and went undefeated in the U-19 Division at the Jacksonville Shootout Labor Day weekend. I am also very excited about my first real part time job, becoming a mentor as the team Captain for my Nease High School Panthers soccer team and I also recently joined the Senior Ladies organization at school. This organization gives me the opportunity to give back by raising money for women and children in domestic abuse situations. The month of September is busy for me as I have a second round of ACT and SAT's, soccer, soccer and more soccer and preparing for my journey to college.  My goals for this next year are to continue to build on my education, strengthen my athletic ability, fine tune my ball skills and look forward to the opportunity to find the right college for me. If you are interested in finding out more about me, please feel free to reach out. Your communications will never go unanswered.

Thank You for the opportunity to tell you a little bit about me, I look forward to hearing a little more about you and your organization.
