Karen Marenco '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Karen Marenco and my height is 5.5' and i weigh 150 pounds. I have been playing soccer for about 11 years. The first time i stepped on the field i knew i wanted to pursue soccer for aslong as i could. The passion and dedication i put towards soccer is like no other. It is very rare for me to miss a practice and i always give 100%. Ever since i turned 14 i knew i wanted to play college soccer. i have worked hard and have been team captain for my club team since i was 13. i have started on my highschool's varsity team since freshman year and have lead my team as captain since sophomore year. Freshman and Sophomore year i was all county honorable mention and junior year i was 1st team all county. What my coaches apreciate the most about me is my work ethic not only on the feild but in my academics. since freshman year i have taken honors and AP classes and have obtained a GPA of 3.6 and 4.5. As i continue to study my aspiration is to become a dentist and give back to my community. If the college of university has my major then i am more than happy playing soccer there. My dream is not only to play college soccer but to also try and be a freshman starter and if that takes all of my commitment and hard work than thats what i will do. i want to be that player that my teamates can look up to , that player that can lead her team to victory, that player that makes a big impact.
