Sarah Coy '13 Recruiting Profile

I love soccer. I am 5'3, 120 pounds, and a quick player. Soccer has afforded me numerous experiences internationally and in the United States.  My experieneces include U.S. Soccer National ID Camp, Id2 National selections 2009, 2010, and most recently ECNL Id2 National Camp selection 2011.  Due to a prior committment, I was unable to make the ECNL National Id2 camp, as I defended the FHSAA State Championship for American Heritage I help win 2010 and 2011.  Ive had an opportunity to play with many other talented players and teams during the past few years playing on the east coast and west coast and several showcase events.  

I attend American Heritage H.S. Delray Beach, Florida.  Prior to my froshman year I was awarded a Full Academic Honors Scholarship, based on test scores.  At American Heritage I have maintained a 4.0 Honors GPA, while taking Pre med Honors courses.  Starting since a froshman on the varsity, I have help the team and school win back to back FHSAA State Championships.  I have been the second leading scorer  both years, while playing midfield.  And this past year was joined by sister Hannah Coy a froshman ( U14 GNT) who also was the recipient of  a Academic Honors Full Scholarship from American Heritage, Delray.  During the past two years I have won the Coaches Team MVP, and Academic Awards. But, what I enjoyed the most, was the relationships that I developed with friends, teammates and classmates.  Helping our school win a State Championship was unique from Club Soccer in that the State Title was an achievement the entire student body felt proud of.

I am very hard working always seeking perfection.  I am self motivated, and try to lead by example.  I am a fierce competitor on the field and enjoy the competition at any level.   I've been able to impact games by setting a fast tempo, making opponents uncomfortable.   Although I am not very tall, my endurance, desire, and speed, have made playing soccer very enjoyable.  It has always been a goal of mine to play soccer in college. And I look forward to accomplishing that goal in the near future.
