Kayla Crosby '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. It is my passion, and it is what I spend almost all of my free time doing since I love it so much.  I have learned from playing soccer that you have to be very dedicated, disciplined, and work hard to achieve your goals. I have played on different teams, under different coaches, and learned from all of my experiences. I want to play at the most competitive level possible in college. I know I have to work hard to achieve this goal, which is why my academic performance is also very important.
What I want from a college soccer program is a positive coaching environment, a team that works hard together, has fun together and is focused on performance. I also want a school that is strong academically and offers good career options.
My strengths as a player include being a leader of the people around me both on and off the field. Another strength is my technical skills and my ability to see the field and the play that is happening so that I can anticipate what comes next. I have also been told by many of my coaches that I listen well and I am very coachable. I am a very outgoing person, I make friends easily and could fit in with many teams. I am different from other recruits because I work to best of my ability, and will put in the time to accomplish what needs to be done.
