My name is Meghan Groom, I am a junior attending Broomfield High School in Colorado. I play for Colorado Storm North U18 D1 team. I have been playing soccer and have wanted to play in college since I was 5. I would consider myself as a good student and very positive about life and my passions on and off the field. Being a leader is what I do, being a goalie I do my very best to communicate positively with my team no matter how the game is going, at practice, or even at school. I have gotten the opportunity to be a part of my high schools leadership program as a Blue Crew Leader. I believe that having a dad that grew up playing soccer really helped me become very coachable and being able to take in constructive criticism, and applying what has been said to me to improve my game and skills. I am looking to get my Bachelors in Science and Nursing and become a ER Nurse after college.
Every weekend my dad and I try to watch 1-2 English Premier League games or at least watch the highlights. I very much enjoy watching the games because I can learn so much from just watching one game. By watching the things that happen in a game help me to more understand the game and put what I have learned into my game.
I am looking forward to making a positive impact with my future college team, and making friendships that last a life time.
