Everyday I wake up thinking how I can become better and stronger at soccer. I attend extra trainings; work extra with my club and high school coaches and constantly think about the game. When I started in club four years ago I was good, but other girls were better. I looked at those other girls and decided I wanted to be the best. This set a fire in me and I was determined to work harder and be better than anyone else on the team. In addition to regular practices and games I went to my personal trainer every week and attended speed-training classes. I have risen up on the club team to not only being the starting forward and lead goal scorer, but also the most consistent player on the team. In my freshman year of high school team the varsity coach placed me on the freshman team, as he wanted me to have maximum playing time. During the season I played 98% of every game and was named Offensive MVP. In my sophomore year I was on JV and was the starting forward until we had injuries on defense. The second half of the season I started and played outside back and would also play part of the game as forward. I have an ability to read the field, my opponents and my teammates. I am very technically skilled but I am always striving to improve.
I bring this same intensity to my academics as well. In college I want to study Criminal Justice and law with the hopes of being an attorney or in law enforcement. I am looking for a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I strive to be the best and want to play for a program that does the same.
