Hi my name is Stevie Eide,
I started playing soccer when I was five years old and realized I wanted to play at a higher level when I was eleven. Ever since then I have worked hard to improve every aspect of my game, even training on my own. College soccer is not only a great opportunity for me to continue my passion with the sport but also a excellent way for me to receive a higher education. I have always loved going to school and I desire to attend a four year university.
As for my leadership style, I am a leader by example, always pushing myself to work the very hardest and motivating others around me to do the same. One of my strongest points as a player is that I am very coachable and even after my first season on varsity soccer I was awarded the "Coach's Award" for my hard work. As for on the field, I know how to read the game well since I am able to see the entire field in the goalkeeper position. This has also helped me in playing other positions like center back, since I know the angles of the pitch.
I currently attend Diamond Bar High school, in Diamond Bar California. I was a triathlete both my freshman and sophomore years playing volleyball, soccer, and softball. I’ve been a part of the soccer program all four years and a varsity starter since my sophomore year. After my sophomore and junior seasons I was awarded All-League Honorable Mention. Outside of high school soccer I play for Freedom FC. We are ranked gold and recently won the State Cup Championship, which advanced us to Regionals. Also, this past summer I was selected to go to the Sports Challenge Leadership Academy, a national organization based on helping high school student athletes improve their leadership skills and mental toughness.
All of these past experiences have led to the hunt for a chance to play at the higher level. I am very open minded to a variety of schools and locations. My main focus is to find the highest athletic and academic level that suits me and will bring not only myself, but your school success.
