I have been in love with the game of soccer since I was five years old and have been playing and practicing ever since. I am extremely fortunate to have the full support of my parents, brothers, and extended family. They all have had a strong influence in shaping the person and player that I am today. I have been fortunate enough to play at a very high level since I was 12 years old with both the Provincial and National programs and this requires a high level of commitment from myself and my support system. I have been chosen for the Provincial Allstar team for U13, U14, and U15. As well, in 2016, I was chosen to be in the Women's National player pool. I am a starter with the AB North REX program and am very skilled at playing attacking midfield, outside midfield, and striker. I also train with an Olympic level track and field coach to continue my strong sprinting ability.
On a personal level, I have a very strong focus and I am a natural leader both on and off the pitch. I believe that each day provides opportunities to learn and become better and will work tirelessly to do so. Through the game of soccer, I have gained the knowledge of knowing how to move forward in a positive direction and that this movement requires a lot of hard work and dedication. This philosophy applies to soccer as well as my academic aspirations. My goal in high school is to achieve and maintain honors level grades in my courses. Not only will this provide me with a successful transcript, it will also prepare me for the transition into college life. I would love to study psychology and biology at a collegiate level while playing the sport that I love.
Thank you,
Myah
