Personal Statement

My collegiate goals are to achieve both academic and athletic success, as I aspire to be not only a great student but a superb student athlete as well. I believe I would be a good candidate for a team because of my work ethic and technical abilities, as well as my leadership skills both on and off the pitch. The difference between me and other recruits is my tenacity to achieve my utmost potential, to exhibit my passion and love for the sport of soccer and to strive further towards a high level of education, building my future scholarly while doing what I love most.

  • After being scouted from many in the area coaches Lauren has been training with the best of the best girls in the Alberta region. With intense tryouts the girls have a competitive level to get their spot facing many other high class skilled competitors. Lauren has trained and competed against other provinces in Canada to win her spot. Lauren has been involved for 3 years straight. First in Winnipeg (Rick Haxby head coach) second in Calgary (Rick Haxby head coach) and third in Vancouver (Troye Flannery head coach) and has been awarded in the Canada All-Stars game after being selected by CSA scouts in the second tournament which took place in Calgary.
  • St. Edmund junior high soccer academy
  • 3 years
  • Lauren was a part of the St. Edmund soccer academy in grades 7-9, training 3 times a week for 2 hours against higher age groups. She was nominated for the leadership award in grade eight, and in grade nine she won her name on the leadership and coaches award trophies. She played in numerous school tournaments and quite often was awarded MVP. Having her group coaches (Graham Wood and Leo McAndry) by her side they both got her even further in her soccer career.
