Michaela Gerard '16 Recruiting Profile

I was part of the very first girls lacrosse program in Keller as a sixth grader.  I have played school lacrosse every year since and I began playing club lacrosse in 2010.  My sophomore year was the first year we had a varsity program and I started every game I've played in since.  Our first varsity year we made it to the state quarterfinals.  My junior year we were 12-2.  I had the privilege of being named as a Team Captain my junior year.  I play midfield and I am just as strong on defense as offense.  I have a good field presence and I like to distribute the ball to our top goal scorers.  I have a real passion for competitive lacrosse and I hope to be able to play for a competitive college team.  I really love the sport and I think it has helped me grow as a person.  

I'm a very good student and my current grade point average is 94.1.  I am taking AP classes and I hope to major in  Environmental Science with a minor in Business.  I have a true passion for the environment and I think I can make a positive impact in preserving our planet.

I'm 5'9" and weigh 130 lbs.  I workout regularly and am in very good shape.  I like to use lacrosse to motivate me to stay fit, take care of myself and stay sharp mentally.
