Heidi Johnson '12 Recruiting Profile

 My name is Heidi Johnson. Playing lacrosse has become my passion over the past two and a half years. It did not take long for me to fall in love with the sport. This year will be my senior year in lacrosse, I've already been chosen to be captain along with my teammate and close friend. Dedication is what I can promise to give to any team I play for. I go in for conditioning everday, and any opportunity I have to play, I take it. Last year, I was 2nd Team all league for defense. Defense is the area in which I can go all out on. I am approximately 5'8 and weigh about 155 lbs. I can run the mile in asbout 8 minutes and 20 seconds, which I understand is not the fastest, but I'm always looking to improve. Playing lacrosse in college would be as my coach says "icing on the cake". This means that even being considered to go play for a college would be the greatest thing I could ever imagine. I am looking to play for a college in the Northwest region, so I can stay close to home, plus this rainy weather I would miss. Divsion 3 or 2 would be a perfect fit for me. Since I've only been playing since my sophmore year, I feel as if I would not be qaulified enough for a Divsion 1 team. I am looking for a school that would have a great program for my major, which will be elementary education and teaching. Financial need is something I will also be looking into, and if granted, I will rely on heavly. If I get to play in collge, I will expect to be very dedicated and a very hard working player. Starting is not on the top of my list, being apart of the team is what my top prioroty is for my self in college.
