I hope to get a degree in geology or earth sciences and then possibly get a masters in paleontology, which has always been a passion of mine.. My athletic goals are to go to a school that has a good lacrosse program and to be an active participant and hopefully an asset to that team. I feel that my greatest strength as a goalie is my ability to perform under pressure. Many of my best games have been during the post season and especially in state championships games, where the pressure is highest. I believe that my high school coach, Traci Nelson, really recognized this in me and demonstrated it by telling my teammates not to worry about generating 8 meter penalty shots because, in her words, "Ellis can stop anything they throw at her". Stopping penalty shots would certainly be considered one of my strengths. I am a good team player, I actively talk to my defenders and have a great deal of respect for how hard the job of a defender can be. I think what might differentiate me from the crowd is my sense of humor and my interest in sciences. I am a hard worker and I really want to prove myself as a college athlete.
