Verbally committed to play lacrosse at Albion College.
I'm currently a senior year at Canton High School, where I have always made the most of the opportunities I have. I was a member of the 2013-14 State-Runner Up Canton Varsity Basketball Team, though I could not participate this year due to injury, as well as the Varsity Lacrosse Captain for this upcoming season. With so much of my life revolving around athletics, I have learned to manage my time wisely and work hard while taking very challenging classes.
I would be a good candidate for your college and lacrosse team because I never stop improving, intellectually or athletically. Any new skill or strength I gain, only makes me want to perfect something else. I believe that if you're not moving forward, you're moving backward. Though this will only be my fourth year playing lacrosse, I have gained a ton of experience by simply picking up my stick every day. Whether it be to play on a travel team, attend a camp, or just to toss it against a brick wall, it's very seldom I'd go a day without grabbing my stick and practicing. The passion I have for this sport is surely what sets me apart from many of the athletes I've competed with.
I'm known as the master recruiter by my lacrosse team because I can get anyone to give lacrosse a try. I love teaching the game to new players and sharing my experience. I feel that the most important thing pertaining to athletics, is that you're doing it because you love it. If you don't have a love and passion for a sport, every practice and game will feel like a chore. I have never felt that going to lacrosse practice was a bother or a burden, rather, I always look forward to it. That is why I want to play lacrosse in college. Gaining skills and confidence takes work, and I am ready to commit to every challenge.
